Makrite Model FIT-N95 NIOSH N95 Respirator Details
NIOSH certification proves the Makrite model FIT-N95 N95 has filtering effectiveness of at least 95% for non-oil-based particles such as dust and smoke.
The foam across the nose bridge makes them gentler on the nose bridge and more comfortable to wear. The elastic bands go around the back of the head rather than behind the ears. It has a moldable, secure seal. There is no air escaping beneath the eyes. They are flat, with a space in front of the mouth/nostrils.
These are large enough for my large adult head. They are not suffocating and are very easy to breathe in. The best feature, however, is the snug fit.
Makrite model FIT-N95 masks do not fog up the glasses and go deep enough around the chin to form an extremely good seal.

Although the fit of this product is not ideal for me, I do have a goatee that my wife has been able to adjust to fit well on her face and stay in place. During the wildfires in Canada, we used these products to protect ourselves from the smoke. While they did a decent job, I would recommend using a respirator instead for those terrible days when the air is particularly poor.

These accessories are very comfortable and they fit snugly when worn for the first time, but the blue straps tend to become loose quite easily, which limits their functionality to a couple of days. I appreciate that they can be worn around the neck for easy access when eating or drinking, but it seems that the loose straps may not be enough to prevent slipping.

The mask is not as thick as I anticipated compared to other N95 and almost feels like kn95 quality. The fit is not tight on average or for small heads. The bands are not rubbery or woven elastic, and are more similar to kn95 masks, making it more comfortable for larger heads. The color matches the picture. It fits my husband well, but there are some air pockets and the fabric layers are visible on some of the cuts. It is even looser than it should be and I would not wear it due to my compromised immune system. Keep that in mind when purchasing as the price is quite high for the amount of masks you receive.
The masks, which are made in Mexico and come in sealed plastic bags in boxes, have been causing complaints due to the bottom strap being too short and not being stretchy enough. Many users have reported that the bottom strap breaks easily and this is why. The mask bands are made of cloth and can stretch, even though they may not look as though they will. The fit is comfortable, with a large mellon head, and the mask fits well. However, in high-risk areas, such as the emergency room, these masks may not be suitable as they may not fit tightly enough. N95 masks are designed for industrial use and are not intended for regular civilian use, so it’s important to stock up now.
