The mask is NIOSH approved and hence features such as penetration, breathing resistance, and strap strength meet or exceed the specifications specified by NIOSH to filter at least 95 percent non-oil-based airborne particles at a particle size of 0. 3 microns.

Harley S-288S medical N95 masks are made of several layers of special non-woven polypropylene (synthetic polymer) fabric. This fabric is produced by melt blowing and forms the inner filtration layer in the N95 mask that filters out hazardous particles. Two strap design helps provide a secure seal. Elastic head strap suit for various facial sizes. Metal Close clip and embossed fringe to keep sure a good seal. Latex-free. Fringe to keep sure a good seal.

These respirators help reduce exposures to certain airborne contaminants. Before use, the wearer must read and understand the User Instructions provided as a part of the product packaging. In the U.S., a written respiratory protection program must be implemented meeting all the requirements of OSHA 1910.134 including training, fit testing, and medical evaluation.

Cautions and Limitations
General Cautions and Limitations for All Part 84A Approvals Non-powered Air-Purifying Particulate Filter Respirators. These limitations are by no means all-inclusive.
FIT-CHECK THE FACE-SEAL AS FOLLOWS:
. Place both hands over the respirator do not disturb the position of the respirator.
. Inhale sharply (a negative pressure should be felt inside the respirator).
. If you detect air leaks, readjust the head straps and/or the nose piece.
User Instruction
A. Not for use in atmospheres containing less than 19. 5 percent oxygen.
B. Not for use in atmospheres immediately dangerous to life or health.
C. Do not exceed maximum use concentrations established by regulatory standards. Failure to properly use and maintain this product could result in injury or death.
J. Failure to properly use and maintain this product could result in injury or death.
M. All approved respirators shall be selected, fitted, used, and maintained in accordance with MSHA, OSHA, and other applicable regulations.
N. Never substitute, modify, add or omit parts. Use only exact replacement parts in the configuration as specified by the manufacturer.
O. Refer to User’s Instructions, and/or maintenance manuals for information on the use and maintenance of these respirators.
P. NIOSH does not evaluate respirators for use as surgical masks.
