Capital University restarted the mask mission

Masks are once again required on capital University campuses, although most other regional universities still have lifted such regulations.

Capital University announced on Sunday that it would once again make wearing masks mandatory in campus buildings, after abandoning the requirement on March 8, according to an announcement.

With the increase in COVID-19 cases on campus, the mask rule was reinstated. The uptick mirrors Ohio, which has also seen a spike in cases in recent weeks, according to state data.

Capital University advises people to wear N95 or KN95 masks, which doctors say offer the most protection against COVID-19.

The requirement applies to all campuses and classes and will remain in effect through final exams and the end of the semester, according to the university.
